"May God reward you." |
As Sir Ector is called out to his adventure, he is blessed with the phrase, “may God
reward you”. This is saying that if he remains true to his God, that he
will receive the blessings that will help him on his quest. |
When my friends and I are
hanging out, sometimes they will suggest that we participate in activities that don’t measure up to my standards. One example being a party. While I was
hanging out with a friend of mine, he suggested that we go to a party down the street.
I agreed and off we went. As we got there, groups of people starting coming
up with six packs galore. I, no inclination to drink for my whole life, hitched
a ride off of a friend and went home. I stood up for my God that night by deciding
to not lower my standards. |
At the start of the Second
World War, there was a group of people who were being persecuted throughout most of Germany. They were the Jewish people. Hitler and
the Nazi people thought that the Jews were below them and forced them to wear a star on all of the clothing to signify that
they were Jewish. Much worse events occurred as time went on, but the Jewish
people remained strong. No matter how my torment, suffer, and pain they had to
go though, they persevered to the end. They remained true to their God. |

“my
lord, one man living who can draw the sword from the stone, and he is the true-born King of Britain”
|
This
quote shows that is only one true king of Britain. This man was born into being a king, and this man was Arthur. Arthur’s
father Uther Pendragon gave him to Merlin as a young child to be raised without the people knowing, so as to be pronounced
king at a later date. |
This
year there were two open defensive back positions open, and I wanted one of them. I,
like Arthur, “raised myself” to become the owner of that position. By
raising myself I mean that I worked out in the gym and in cutting edge. I was
the true person for the position, just like Arthur was the true person to claim the sword and become King of Britain. |
Approximately
two years ago, the war on terrorism began. Many people questioned George W. Bush
leading our country to war. Some thought he was the rightful candidate for commander
in chief, others did not. The decision of Bush being the right candidate was
backed by the 2004 presidential election. He, unlike Arthur, was not born into
his position, but he was the “true” person for the job. Again, some
people might not agree, but the majority of the United States
did when they voted for George Bush for President. |
